In the 2015 science fiction film "The Martian - Save Mark Watney", the eponymous Mark Watney struggles to survive on Mars. The astronaut played by Matt Damon arrives on Mars as part of the space mission "Ares III". A devastating sandstorm forces them to flee the planet.
