REVISION

WATCHES

• A revision is recommended every 4 to 6 years. 
• The revision serves to maintain the value of your watch. 
• During an overhaul, the movement is completely disassembled and cleaned with the help of a special solution.

STORAGE AND

CARE TIPS

• It is best to store your watch in a case or a special storage box. 
• If you have several clocks, a circulating device is recommended. This way you don't have to set the clock again, but maybe only the date and the exact time. 
• You don't have to run mechanical clocks all the time. It is enough if it runs for one or two days every 3 months. 
• For cases, watch boxes or watch winders, we will gladly make you an individual offer.

GENERAL

WEAR RECOMMENDATION

• A watch is a precise masterpiece of electronics and precision mechanics and is therefore not insensitive. 
• Protect your watch from shocks, magnetic fields, intense heat, water and chemicals. 
• You should also not wear your timepiece to sleep.
• It should not be exposed to saunas and thus large temperature shocks. 
• Diver's watches should be rinsed well with tap water after the dive.

Watch glass

• There are different types of glasses. 
• Scratches and scuffs on plastic lenses are relatively easy to remove - the polishing paste required for this can be found in our service department. 
• Mineral and sapphire glasses are harder. 
• Sapphire glass is almost scratch-resistant and also more shock-resistant due to its extreme hardness.

Bracelets

• The leather strap is a wearing part and should be replaced every 6 to 12 months, depending on your wearing habits. 
• The tape is severely limited in durability especially by skin sweat, water, cosmetics, chemicals, etc. 
• In the case of metal straps, the strap should be cleaned once a year and all components should be checked. 
• Our service for you: We carry leather straps from the market-leading company Hirsch. The company is based in Austria and produces straps for many well-known watch manufacturers. 
• You can also have leather straps made by us according to your own requirements.

Maintenance

• Maintenance is an inspection of your watch. The watch case and strap are cleaned and the parameters of the watch are tested.

PRECISION

THE TIME

• With mechanical watches, there are high expectations of accuracy. 
• Many factors play a role that can lead to a deviation in the rate. These include the temperature (e.g. the watch when laying down on the beach), vibration (e.g. when cycling), the tension of the mainspring (e.g. too little movement), and many more. 
• As a tip, if your watch is not running to your satisfaction, note the rate deviation every 24 hours. The data can be used to plan the further course of action.
